Chief Consultant (Traffic)

Address: Head Office : A-13, Sector-1,,  Noida, Uttar Pradesh  201301
Pay scale ( वेतन ) : Maximum of Rs. 1, 40,000/- per month.
Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : Graduate in any discipline preferably with post graduate Degree/Diploma/Certification in Maritime Affairs/Multi-Modal Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Transportation Management etc.
Experience requirements ( अनुभव ) : ▪ Should have at least 15 years of experience in the field of Railways/Ports/Shipping/Multimodal Logistics/Sailing or in a similar field. ▪ Should have an Associate member or member of the Nautical Institute/Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers/Company of Master Mariners of Indian. ▪ Proficiency in Logistics, Feasibility Studies and Audits data collection, Shipping Operation and Management, traffic studies, data analysis and preparation of reports. ▪ Proficiency in use of Computer and basic MS Office tools. ▪ Good Communication Skills (written and verbal).
Job responsibilities / description ( उत्तरदायित्व) :▪ Compilation and analyses of present and potential traffic data and preparation and submission of reports. ▪ Marketing, regular meeting with shippers/customers with the objective of modal shift of cargo to Inland Waterways. ▪ Planning of cargo movement/collection and compilation of rail & road data. Monitor the movement of vessels and loading/unloading at terminals. ▪ Organize regular trade meets at various locations. Maintain profile of present and potential customers. ▪ Any other work assigned by Management (IWAI). ▪ Identify the problems/bottlenecks in transportation of cargo by IWT mode. ▪ Persuasion for modal shift and preparation of roadmap/market strategy to affect modal shift from road based transportation to inland water transportation and comparative economics for the same.
