Job purpose

The position of Project Coordinator (BMG)- Bal Mitra Gram is designed to lead project deliverables and manage activities implemented by District Coordinators, Assistant Project Officers, Community Social Workers, support them in developing and implementing plans as per the requirements of a project and ensure reporting of your work as appropriate.

Job Description (Role Expectations)

As Project Coordinator for child friendly villages, you are primarily responsible for ensuring monitoring, reporting and process documentation of the project

Competencies for the role:

Functional Knowledge – Demonstrate a strong awareness and knowledge in relation to KSCF’s areas of function with specific focus on child rights and child participation

Influencing Skills – Ability to develop and manage relationships with and through others to persuade, convince and/or gain support in order to achieve strategic objectives

Planning and Organizing - Ability to identify what needs to be done, to develop an appropriate plan of action in order to accomplish an objective and to monitor progress against it and be able to provide right strategic direction to the team

Achievement Orientation – Should have sustained energy and determination in the face of obstacles to set and meet challenging objectives in compliance with quality and time standards

Leading and Developing Others – Ability to lead, encourage, inspire and support others to develop confidence and capability to help them realise their full potential.

Perform under pressure: Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, risks, vulnerabilities, harsh living conditions, unpleasant weather and inaccessible locations.

Connect with children: Ability to connect well with children, women and youth, and realize their potential to work towards their welfare.

Education, Experience and Exposure

Education

Advance degree in relevant discipline from institute/university of repute preferably covering social work as a topic of study

Experience & Exposure

Minimum 10 years’ experience in child welfare, and/or Community development with at least 8 years in people management role

Professional experience of managing programs at local/regional levels

Experience of working in the geographies of South Bihar and Jharkhand

Managerial Experience of handling multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams

Professional experience of working in NGO’s, CSO’s, Foundations or business CSRs.

Demonstrated ability to liaise, network and support advocacy efforts with government and alike stakeholders

Local candidates will be preferred

Required skills : Proficient in MS office (MS word, excel and PPT), report writing, drafting emails, and good command over telephonic correspondences. Good command on English and Hindi.

Desirable skills: Acquaintance to local language.
